Job Description This position will assume responsibility for the sales of Smiths Detection's screening and CBRNe products to the US Southeast (SE) Region with a specific focus on Commercial and Urban Security. Additional responsibilities include execution of all aspects of the sales process to attain profitable growth within the West Coast Region. Duties & Responsibilities Management and expansion of the account relationship. The Reginal Sales Manager (RSM) shall create/expand relationships throughout the entire West region in order to fully understand the screening & CBRNe needs and develop solutions to meet those needs. Close new business with existing set of accounts to meet or exceed the Sales quota assigned for the account listing. This quota shall include bookings and revenue component so the RSM will oversee the order process to ensure revenue is recognized on time. Provide oversight, guidance and support to all functional groups to make sure all aspects of the accounts are managed properly. Work with channel partners to develop any/all contract vehicles required to sell product to the account set. Create an annual sales plan for the account set. The plan will contain both qualitative and quantitative information required to capture all available sales opportunities in the account set. The sales plan will be updated quarterly and executed throughout the year. All other aspects of the sales process, including: Prospecting and identification of potential new opportunities Arranging and conducting product demonstrations Participating in trade exhibitions/conferences Creating quotations for customers/prospects Contributing to major proposals for the account for which the RSM is responsible Managing the Sales forecast for the account set. Participate in product/sales skills training as required. Participate/contribute to internal Sales meetings. Apply Sales management processes to ensure a systematic approach to the management of current and future customer relationships, including sales, marketing, customer service and technical support. Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies. Comply with all applicable S. export control and security regulations. Other duties as required. The Individual Education Bachelors Degree required Experience: Minimum seven (7) years of experience and demonstrated success in sales account management in the B2B marketplace and within a disciplined sales environment. Experience selling high-technology to Commercial and Urban security related systems. Must have demonstrated success in selling response application products. Must have demonstrated success in selling digital platforms and offerings. Experience working with/managing channel partners to develop new business opportunities. Knowledge/Skills: Self-motivated and proactive approach to managing key accounts. Establish and maintain a professional relationship with customers/prospects. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to present information in front of a large group. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Supervises: No direct reports Physical/Mental Requirements: Will be required to travel domestically, at times up to 75% of the month Ability to think strategically and develop strategic plan Ability to work independently Deal with different personalities and overcome communication barriers Work Environment: Individuals primary workstation may be in an office setting or at home office. Individual will travel frequently and work at internal Smiths Detection offices, customer and/or prospects office or at trade shows.
